Shannon Matteson has more than 19 years experience in advanced haircutting and coloring in the San Diego area. She has built a strong following with her ability to create an individual look that complements each client’s face shape, hair texture and lifestyle. She trains with Toni&Guy/TIGI educators and is an Ambassador for the TIGI Hair care product line. As an Ambassador, Shannon teaches product knowledge classes to stylists in San Diego and receives 4 advanced educational classes per year on haircutting, coloring, updos, and public speaking skills along with information on the latest hair care products. She has also participated in TIGI Advanced Academies in Long Beach, Santa Monica, New York, and Dallas as well as The Vidal Sassoon Academy in Los Angeles. She is a versatile professional stylist. Throughout her career she has personally mentored and trained 16 assistants. She has given back by creating hairstyles for local charity fashion shows. Shannon has conceptualized, designed and developed large production hair shows and has coordinated many photo shoots. In 2006, she founded the popular e-newsletter, Shannon Salon Scene, for her clients. She keeps her clients up to date on hair trends, how-to video demonstrations on hair styling, as well as helpful tips on the best hair care products. Her enthusiasm for her work is contagious and comforting. You’ll know when you are sitting in her chair that she is going to design a look that will be true to your personal style.
